Recent News for Our Law Office

Trey Pettlon and Ryan Ginie have over 30 years combined experience as trial attorneys representing people who are severely injured in personal injury actions and defending people charged with crimes.  They understand what it takes to represent someone.  In a trial to the court.  In a trial to a jury.  How to win verdicts, motions, objections and other arguments.  In trial, like most adversarial forums, perhaps the most important edge that you can have is to know your opponent...and what their strengths and weaknesses are.  With a prosecutor's knowledge of what it takes to successfully prosecute a case, both Ryan and Trey understand that very well.

Trey has been selected once again as a Super Lawyer in 2011.  Fewer than 5 percent of lawyers in a state are selected as Super Lawyers.  Trey has also recently been selected to serve on the Board of Directors for the Midwest Innocence Project.  This important project is devoted to freeing those that have been wrongfully convicted and are currently incarcerated.

Ryan and Trey have represented clients all the way through jury trials in civil cases involving automobile accidents, trucking accidents, psychiatric malpractice, day care negligence, and injuries such as wrongful death, disfigurement and permanent brain injury.  Over the years we have helped clients win millions of dollars in settlements and verdicts.

In criminal cases, we have defended clients all the way through jury trial against charges of DUI including Felony DUI's, Domestic Battery, Criminal threat, Robbery, Attempted Murder, Aggravated Battery, Rape, Sodomy, other sexual assaults, Felony Theft charges, Drug Charges including Cocaine, Methamphetamine and Marijuana and many other crimes.  The results?  "Not Guilty" verdicts.

As always it is critical that you have an attorney represent you that has experience in court and understands the important legislative changes that are being made as you read this.  In July 2011, the entire Kansas law regarding DUI's changed.  Some of those changes are even retroactive.  As a result, drivers who have already lost your driving privileges, may be eligible to get their privilege to drive back.  If you need help, call us.

Trey and Ryan have dedicated their law practice to helping good people through difficult times. We continue to focus on criminal defense but accept about five serious personal injury, medical malpractice and wrongful death cases at a time. We are extremely selective about what cases we accept because the cases we do accept demand a lot of attention...they are also cases that demand justice for a family or for someone who was injured or killed. We have represented people in these critical cases on numerous occasions all the way through settlement or trial to a jury. We know what it takes to win.

Trey's email is Trey@Pettlonlaw.com.  Ryan's is Ryan@Pettlonlaw.com.  (Please note that although our attorneys will respond to emails, our office will not enter into an attorney-client relationship by email.  Please schedule an appointment to meet with us if you want to consider us for possible representation.)

As always, we want to thank all of our clients for the opportunity to represent them through their difficult times and for the confidence they have in us.  We also want to thank our fellow attorneys and our friends for the many clients they have referred our way and for their continued confidence in us as well.
